what i would like to know if anyone has the answer is about the heat settings.per information from lincoln the A, B,C, D, E settings represents the following in volts.A--18 voltsB--20 voltsC--21.5 vD--23.5 vE--33 vThe question i have is why is there so much difference in stick welding settings & the above settings.even at the highest setting 33 v i don't think you could stick weld.I am sure theres something about this i do not understand but would like to know since i have just purchased the 180T thank for your help
Reply:The difference is cc and cv....stick is constant current and your Linc MIG is a constant voltage machine......
Reply:On your highest setting, that 33 V can drive up to 180 amps of welding current, which now more easily compares to your Stick machine... |
