I apologize if this is the wrong forum, I haven't been around in some time. I bought a new project vehicle (Suzuki Samurai) to play with, work on, etc. and that has taken up most of my time. This vehicle is what has brought me back here.I have a few welding projects coming up, and I feel that they are beyond my level because the consequences of poor welding (I'm still at a beginners level) could be severe. I'm wondering if there are any Ocala/Gainesville area welders that may be able to help? These may be best left to pro's.Project 1 is finishing my winch bumper. I have notched my current bumper and am going to tack in a winch cradle and gussets. I need someone to finish weld this for me. Obviously, this will be put under large loads.Project 2 is down the road, but it would be finish welding a roll cage (prefabbed kit). Again, could (but hopefully not) be subjected to severe loads. Hell, if anyone knows any cage builders in the area I would have them fab the whole thing rather than buy a kit, but I haven't found any. Thanks! Those that say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" just don't understand!Fast-Cheap-Reliable: Pick two.
Reply:im from tavares just north of orlando. Lake Technical Center does a fine job. They will also do it for cheapAs said by CHENRY:you cant weld on a thingamajig like that. are you even certified to do thingamajig welding ? I once saw an improperly welded thingamajig fail and eleventy twelvoteen things got ballywhacked. I dont think i would risk it. |
