i am about to order the speedglas 9002x with the side windows has any one used one of these hoods do you like it and do you like the side windowsComplete Fabrication Shop specializing in pipe fabrication. Also offering heavy steel fabrication and sheet metal work.
Reply:I have a 9002X, no side windows....but, I love it. No issues and would recommend one without reservations....KennyYeah, yeah, I know you are a weldor too. But, are you a good one?
Reply:Yes, I have the windows.  You'll love the helmet.  Very lightweight.  Very comfortable.  It's always a tossup between that one and my Jackson Shadow with the EQC Executive, maybe because I've had the Jackson for so long.I r 2 a perfessional
Reply:I have used both speedglass and nex gens...I like the side shields because if you ever jam your head in a spot that you can't turn your head so the sensors work...you can weld out the sides.  I bought the nexgen due to the cost factor.Jonesy
Reply:I've got three of them. All with side windows. I recommend getting the side windows.
Reply:The visibility in the helmet is great, but I have been flashed a number of times by the auto dark lens when welding in strange positions. I definitely like the overall helmet design, including the ventilation, just not such a big fan of the lens.  I have never had this flashing problem with my Jackson lens, although the Jackson helmet design is definitely inferior.Tim
