Guys, I am trying to find a good source for some 12"solid rubber wheels with a steel hub that uses ball bearings. Nothing real fancy, but needs to be able to handle abour 75-80 pounds load. I need about 17 for a job I have going, and the only place I have found is thru the local tractor dealership who's price is completely unreasonable. I have seen some places that have had some that would work, but not in the quantity that I need. Tractor supply has one that would work, but said I was looking at two weeks before they could get that many in stock to the store, and I'm trying to find something for this week. Any help you might can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ~JacksonI'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:Tractor Supply. See if they can get the wheels from other area stores (store-store).Harbor Freight may have something like that. Surplus Center lists some 10x2.75 rubber tire ball-bearing 5/8 shaft units. http://surpluscenter.com/item.asp?UI...catname=wheels $16 per. Lists a 185 lb weight rating. And http://surpluscenter.com/item.asp?UI...catname=wheels at $15 per.
Reply:If the price isn't too much of a deterrent, you might try W W Grainger or MSC (which used to be Manhattan Supply Co), the second of which will be able to get them there the next day if you really need it.Here are the links for both: http://www1.mscdirect.com/cgi/nnsrhmhttp://www.Grainger.comThey both have 800 numbers if you need to talk to someone; MSC's works all night, I think..
Reply:Home Cheapo or Blowes......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:have recently needed about 6 such wheels for several projects, dug a bit and couldnt do better than tractor supply....
Reply:Take a gander at www.surpluscenter.com but better cut up any cards that have more then a few bucks on em before ya look.....kinda like a candystoreJason
Reply:Rural King has wheels and casters; maybe not that many though.
Reply:http://www.mcmaster.com/ has hundreds of wheels. But I doubt that any with ball bearing hubs will be dirt cheap.WeldingWeb forum--now more sophomoric banter than anything else!
