I have a stainless plumbing line ( you know the kind) that connect your water lines under the sink and also toilets,This custom faucet has three line, hot, cold and "SPRAYER". Don't want the "SPRAYER.Need to plug. Please believe me, there can not be found any "plug" to fit it's thread as it must be a special thread from the maufacturer. The face of the opening appears to be stainless. Can I spot mig this "Hole" with steel wire in my mig? Don't think I can braze it.I know this is a weird thread but am out off ideas other than maybe JB weld it.ThanksJohn
Reply:Curl the sprayer up and zip tie it to the bottom of the sink. If you ever change your mind, it is still available.Call the manufacturer and get the plug. It has to exist.
Reply:The shiny silver lines under the sink are usually chromed brass not SS. Most of the connections are soldered so be careful how much heat you apply if you chose to try and solder it closed. You should be able to find a cap/plug that will fit IF you look hard enough. I have seen them but they are not the easiest to locate. You could cut the hose and install a bolt as a plug and hose clamp it. This allows you to add the sprayer at a later date and reduces the risk that the sprayer leaks or get bumpd under the sink. Some replacement sprayers have adapter fittings that allow them to hook to diferent faucets. One of these migh be soldered closed to create a plug/cap.
Reply:You should be able to find a compression coupling that has a capped end at you local hardware store. That way you can get a compression coupling to reinstall later if you decide to, and the attach it to the under side of the sink is a great idea.Miller Thunderbolt 225Millermatic 130 XPLincoln HD 100 Forney C-5bt Arc welderPlasma Cutter Gianteach Cut40ACent Machinery Bandsaw Cent Machinery 16Speed Drill PressChicago Electric 130amp tig/90 ArcHobart 190 Mig spoolgun ready
Reply:I would not use MS to fill it since it will rust. If you cant find a cap or plug I would use a two part epoxy. Low heat and no chance of damaging the O rings and finishMe! |
