I have a broken Guitar Hero guitar that I want to fix. I've never done much soldering before, but it seems like the solution to this problem.Anyway, the problem is as pictured:http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/9...iggaouteo2.jpgCan someone give me a little tutorial, how-to on what I should do? I don't want to go in guessing and ending up screwing it even more. Also, these are the tools i have ATM: http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/807/helpqe2.jpgThanks in advance.
Reply:For starters, I would either find a replacement pointed tip for your soldering iron or sharpen the tip that you have. You will also need to get some soldering flux, and possibly some thinner solder. As for how to solder, here is a good place to start, with lots of tutorials:http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=how+to+solderEven with lots of practice re-soldering that ribbon cable will be difficult at best. I've done it a couple of times, each time it took a couple of tries to get it right.Good luck.Visit Tensaiteki.com
Reply:As cheap as they are I would just buy a new controller, lol.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist. |
