I just git a little baby cylinder that I will fill with 100% argon to use with my 3035 spool gun for some aluminum practice, but was looking at the regulator that came with the spool gun and it is a smith and on the face of one of the guages it says "for argon use .032" orfice"is this something else I have to get or will the regulator work straight out of the box? Thanks in advance!
Reply:It'll work straight outa the box. The .032 orifice is the size of the ...well....orifice/hole that the gas has to pass thru and is the required size for the gas type to give the correct flow according to the gauge reading. The pressure is preset at, I think, 50 psi or there abouts.Again if memory serves me correct by changing the orifice size the regulator can be adapted to oher gasses/mixtures.....Mike
