Just wondering what the going rate for the 3M Speedglas 9002X is over in the US, wouldn't mind 1 but not paying the UK price for themCheers,Kyle

Reply:Hey Kyle, If I had to guess I'd say the $1,100.00 hood has a fresh air filter. If you shop around you can get them cheaper. I've bought a couple off Ebay. If your not in a hurry start checking there. Sooner or later you will out bid someone..
Reply:They look like list/RRP prices to me, no one pays that. The mega expensive one would be an Adflo version, as saidI bought a 9002x septemberish last year. Took me about 20mins with google to find the best price. Paid around £150 all in from a company called 'Engweld' although they had speedglas on special offer at the time,...Just had a quick look at the firms i usually deal with, typical sticker prices range from 9002d around £112 to 9002x at just under £200.
Reply:Them prices were from Buck and Hickman, you may be familiar with them HotRodder. If i got one through work i'd get discount and VAT off.  Don't really know wether i want to spend mega money on a welding screen when i'm more of a sheety than a welder. Will shop around though.Cheers,Kyle
Reply:Yeah, i know of them. They are very nice lids but if your not using it a LOT it's hard to swallow, even at £150
Reply:I tend to get weeks were ill need it a lot, like this week, then have 2 weeks were i won't need it at all. Lad i work with, is dad is a big wig in 3M and got one for free Cheers,Kyle
