110 arc info

I have a clarke 131e 110v arc welder. It does fine for the jobs I do with it. I was reading a post on a car forum and they were talking about tig welding with an arc welder. I searched and read what I could find, although very general. Is it possible to do this with the welder I have? I think it would fun to try it and learn a new skill. Thanks.
Reply:You will need the solenoid, or a tig torch with a gas valve on it, the bottle, and you are tigging. You will be using scratch start to get an arc going, which is no big deal. I don't know who has a compatible torch for a Clarke welder.And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.

Reply:That is pretty neat. I will do some searching for the tweco torch. What kind of solenoid would I need? Or is it one or the other (solenoid or tig torch with gas valve)? I guess I should study up on tig welding. Thank you guys for the info. I am sure I will be back with more questions.
Reply:I was searching for the parts needed to do this and noticed that most of the info refers to the welding machine being DC. My welder is AC only. Will it still work?

Reply:Jeffrey Steefel: Asymptomatic, we would bonk to - but I cogitate it's not altogether amazing, we were targeting the MMO quantity at commence, the wow gold  existing chance, because that's the converse most plausible to choose.
