I took the cover off my Stickmate LX to give it its annual shunt block greasing, and to my dismay theres some light surface rust on the main block through which the shunt slides. I know I should not let this continue but I dont know how to go about treating it. I suppose I'll take one of my tooth brush size wire brushes clean it as well as possible but is there anything else I should do to keep it from getting worse? Say a quick wipe with the high-temp grease I use for the shunt block? or something else? I apologize, if I sound paranoid but this machine was a fairly sizable investment for me and I want it to last.I'll post pics later if anyone doesnt know which part Im talking about. Thanks, Owen |
