Reply:My brother-in-law has a Snap-On that he's quite impressed with. But it doesn't have AC nor a pedal; so it's no good to me. To be a 'real' TIG, it needs both, IMHO. No AC or High Freq, no aluminum. Chasing parts for an extinct welder isn't something I'm willing to do, again, IMHO. When I bought my Syncrowave 250 (MANY years ago), it was way over my head (dollars too). And, to this day, I grin every time I use it. Save your money or max your credit card and get a Dynasty 200DX. It's a lifetime investment. FWIW: I'm taking welding class, TIG 101; and the welders there are Syncro 250's. Dynastys rock. I'd recommend a used Sync (200/250) but they take a 100 amp circuit (or there abouts).9-11-2001......We Will Never ForgetRetired desk jockey. Hobby weldor with a little training.
