Reply:There are two schools listed at the AWS website. Don't know if they have night classes. It is doubtful. The community college is the best bet for night school, and I checked there and they do not list night class or day classes in welding online. There was a job services training program linked to the shipyard through a state or city employment agency, but it appears to be shut down now. Good luck.http://www.aws.org/w/sense/search.html

Reply:Palomar College, San Marcos, CA. Talk to Jay Miller (welding dept head) about taking your tests.Ironworker's Local 29, down by Mira Mar. They should be able to hook you up with a test facility or independent CWI.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
