I already posted this question on the Hobart thread, hoping to get info from both maybe.I've got my first welder: a Hobart 125. Been using flux core .30 and .35.It's on a 15 amp circuit. Do I need to upgrade? to what?A welder friend told me that using a tank is far better than flux core. I can't really spend the extra 150 for the adapter kit right now, but I could change my priorities. Opinions?Same friend told me he has one and just runs it as hot as it'll go all the time. Aside from the circuit tripping when I get the voltage going on 3, what do I make of this? What can I NOT weld with this machine as far as structural uses?.... I just used it to help a friend adjust the fenders on his trailer... should we look for the fenders to be falling off soon?I'd like to work up to making a brush guard/push bar/deer catcher for my full size van- Can I do it with this machine? or should I practice with my Father in laws 220 stick welder for a while first and then use that? Thanks for the help!Hobart 125Words mean things
