If so how did you make out, We always used NR 311 but now we have run a Charpy wire.Thanks,Mark

Reply:Thanks for your reply, I have run the XLR-8 in some fillets and fillet overheads, I use to run the nr 311 5/64 at 32 volts and 250 ipm on splices. never had any UT problems at all. People are making it sound like the t 8 wire is going to trick me by looking great and running smooth but then having slag in there? Mark
Reply:have you actually broken some of your fillets that were run with the XLR-8 to see what the root looks like? I would be curious about that if I were you.Also, just my personal preferance, but I like the Fabshield X80 or the 81N1 better.
Reply:never touched the hobart stuff. Infact the only place i have ever seen it was at tractor supply.
