I know this has probaby been asked before but: I see harbor freight has their auto darkening helmet on sale for 49.99 down from 79.99 not sure of the specs on it. But are these a decent helmet I hate to skimp on safety gear and with the prices of other helmets reaching 300 or so it makes me a little concerned to buy one for 50. Thanx chas specs on helmet I believe are from a #4 to #9-13 in 1/20,000 sec.Last edited by chasman; 03-08-2009 at 10:23 AM.

Reply:Read the thread and I will stay with brand name if I decide to try one, for some reason when I do searches on here I never find the info Im looking for thats why I asked. I hope that we arent conveying to others to be afraid to ask questions on here especially when it comes to saftey for beginners. Thanx for the thread link anyway.
