I'm gonna make a frame for my swamp cooler. I need 4 90 degee elbows made from 1" round tube. Where can I get this done? Steel store wants 25$ to do it. Seems high. RyanLincoln PowerMig 180cVictor O/ABandaids and aspirinI don't know what I don't know!?
Reply:Well you could buy 3/4" 90 degree weld on pipe elbows and use them. the 3/4" pipe should match up pretty close with your 1" tube on the outside diameter.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:$25 for four kink-free bends sounds just fine to me.

Reply:Just go to any muffler shop. the bends are compression type bends leaving a slight indentation on the inside of the bend but for a swamp cooler this may be acceptable for you. Also if it is a swamp cooler why not just use conduit? Then you can get a conduit bender at the hardware store and do as many bends as you need.If you really want a smooth bend ,that is called a mandrel type bender.Welding stores (NOT BIG BOX STORES) sells welding elbows.AWS certified welding inspectorAWS certified welder
Reply:25/4 bends seem alright. 25 each and you are probably making a payment on his machine.
Reply:A muffler shop will bend 1" tubing?
