Hi i'm from belgium and new at this forum. I'm a student and studies car technology. At the end of juin i'll have my bachelor degree . However engines and their electronics are realy interesting me , i would like to specialize myself in welding. I started with arc welding (MMA) , at the age of 12 . Since this year i'm occupied with mig/mag and tig-welding. So i made the decision to study for welding engineer ( EWE). The problem is , in belgium you already needs to be an engineer (master ) to follow this , one year , course. This means still 2 year studying something which has nothing tot with welding. An other problem is the small amount of interested people , this year there weren't enough candidates to start the courses. One student is send to Cranfield university (UK). Now i started to look at the internet and i found this forum. I thought , why not studying in a foreign country. Now my question is : Are there countries where i can study for welding engineer and where they don't require a master degree ? Other information about complete (theoretical) educations in welding is always welcome . For practical education i follow lessons at school. GrtzPieter |
