I owned a 110 V machine for a while, it seemed to work fine on the highest setting.  Of course, while using the machine, I could not have any other power tools going at the same time (heater) or it would trip the breaker.  I was actually thinking of running a seperated wire & breaker for the machine, then thought about it and instead ran wire and installed a breaker for a 220V recepticle.  I was easily able to sell my 110V machine, and I ended up getting a Lincoln pro mig 180.  Wow! for the extra $100.00, what a difference.  The arc is alot smoother and crisp, and it feels nice to actually dial heat down, instaed of up.110V migs are nice, but the extra $100.00 or so, and installing a 220V recepticle is definitely worth getting a 220V machine.
Reply:Your story and mine are almost same. What a great difference. I feel like a welde!!!
