Buying a new mig

Looking to make the plunge for a new mig welder since I'm out growing my little 120 volt setup.  I'm looking for some advice from you pros.  We have a Millermatic 252 at work and obviously it is a real nice machine.  I would love to have one of those but am not sure I can justify the price.  So I am looking at the new 212 autoset.  I would more or less be just doing the backyard weekend warrior type of thing, with the most I would probably do is some 3/8 inch material.  However I would like to be able to weld aluminum too in the future.  Anyone have any experience with this machine?  The difference is about $500 between the two.
Reply:If you like the 252 and may want to do aluminum, but don't like the price, see if you can find a slightly used 251.  They come spoolgun ready.
Reply:You will grow into the bigger machine just like you grew out of the small one.I wish i had  the foresight years ago and got a 300, but it might give me the oppertunity to upgrade to a new pulsed mig.

Reply:Hey, Sparkyman65.You should look at the new Miller 211AS. I just sold my 140AS and ordered the 211AS because it runs on both 110v and 220v. So I can run it just like my old one, or plug into 220v to weld 3/8"!It comes spoolgun ready out of the box and is a good bit cheaper than the 212AS.
