I am also a member of another forum for the service industry (not welding) and would like to through something out there...One of the most popular areas of the forum is a section on Marketing.  I think it would be very helpful to those who weld for themselves, of you are just getting started on their own.  I know I have many ideas to share on spreading the word about your new business and getting new/more customers.  I'm not saying I am a marketing guru, but I do have a lot of easy tips that work and I would like to share them with my new friends here on this forum.
Reply:I'm sure that would be very helpful for some members - there are always people posting about starting a welding business, but it can be for any type of business. Reply:Been thinking about this one for a long time.  I asked for a Business owners forum.  I was shot down by admin.   Well, Admin is changing, so I will open a business owners forum in the off topic and make it a sticky.  We will see how it goes.Some on is listening a little....David Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.

Reply:Wow, this is great feedback.  I have been self promoting for years with a lawn service, pressure washing business, and welding.  I have a lot to share.  We'll wait to see if a section gets made for it.My best experience is from Internet marketing, website SEO, and direct marketing.  I also have some "Tricks" to get you some new customers in just a few days.
