Reply:It is common in asian sites to do exercises before starting.  As stupid as it sounds it is "team building".   the exercises also condition the body and limbers things up.... not a bad idea.    Notice the nice clean shop area.  My guess there is a good amount of cleanup done by these students on a regular basis.  Cleaning up after yourself will keep you working while sloppy workers are let go.

Reply:If you think that video is funny try going to a real military welding school where you get trained to weld heavy equipment on the front-line in a battlefield. You'll learn all the maneuvers you need to get your job done while weaving in and out of tank tracks, armored personnel carriers, hummers, etc, etc while avoiding being shot at or blown up. The video make a point but does go a bit overboard in its presentation. The idea of transferring the martial arts discipline to the welding arts discipline is simply beautiful. Keep and open mind, keep asking why...and keep learning.
