Should i buy the miller elite helmet

Its time for a new helmet and im looking at auto darks. I currently use a jackson fixed shade and sometimes (i mean sometimes!) use a harbor freight auto dark. I was looking at the lincoln vista, the jackson nex gen, or the miller elite. But i see miller is doing their cash back promotion so im considering an elite. Are they any good. I herd about the curved lens giving a ghost image is this true? ThanksShaneYa gotta spend money to make money!
Reply:My advice with any auto-dark: try before you buy.  I favor the Nex-Gen over the Millers.
Reply:I bought a Miller Digital Elite helmet a few months ago and I really like it. I also bought mine in part to take advantage of Miller's offers. My old auto-darkening helmet has a much smaller lens and I was looking for helmets with larger lenses. I really like the adjustability of the Miller helmet. I sometime weld outdoors and it has features to compensate. I am an amateur welder and do some household projects for myself and friends, and some autobody work. I strongly agree that you should shop around. There are many good helmets out there. Some others out here have warned against this type of helmet due to them breaking when dropped.Good luck and happy welding!!
Reply:I use a Miller Big Window Elite at work and I like it.  I also have a Speedglas that is my personal helmet and I really like it.
Reply:I've had a big window elite for the last few years and I really like it. I like the nex gens too but I prefer the shape of the miller shell. Protects my long neck better. No experience with the Lincoln hood and I've never seen anyone I know use one either. I say get whatever you get the better deal on. They are both good.
Reply:Ive had a miller elite for a year and a half, welding almost all day long, no problems. Good helmet, and I have dropped it 2ce from about 8-9 feet,  everything is all good.

Reply:Ya, agreed, seems cheap( the head gear) Haven't had to replace yet, though it does squeak a bit when snapping the head down. lol
