Welding aluminum with a MIG

HiI have a miller 185 mig,is it possible to weld alum?If not what da ya suggest without purchasing a tig.ThanksAnchors

Reply:The Lincoln 180C does Al,  you can get plastic liners for the gun, and if you are very careful to keep the lead straight you can probably feed Al wire. I am ASSuMEing that the 185 would be similar. If you are going to do much of it you would be better doing as FM says and  getting a spool gun.-- fredLincoln 180C MIG
