$250 welding job

Reply:More weld does not always = better.  Same goes for extra thick gussets....Now I know I am under charging.

Reply:What is that in first pic, and why?The major part in welding aluminum is prep, clean, clean, clean. Then weld. Reply:I'm gonna guess someone paid for the $250 welding job and something failed.  Then they bring it to LoudnProud here, and said "I paid $250 for this welding job, can't believe it failed"LoudnProud gives said customer a quote to fix it, and post pics because he can't believe some of the hacks out there, charging money without knowing what they're doing.I bet the customer said one of the two things,1. "WTF? most of the stuff is welded already, why charge me so much to fix it?"2.  "Just fix it, and do it right, i dont care how much it cost, i'm sick of dealing with cheap weldors"so, am i right?  hey look on the bright side, pic one does have a lot of filler.  Since i just started welding aluminum a couple of weeks ago, i had to buy some rods... and they're expensive.  that's at least $20 worth of filler in just the first pic.
