Miller data states that the drive wheels on the Miller 211 are cast aluminum.  Seems that steel wheels would be more resistant to wear than aluminum, realizing that some aluminum alloys are quite hard.  Is aluminum for the drive wheels common in quality MIG machines?Last edited by Chris Bar; 08-03-2009 at 01:56 PM.
Reply:I believe the Drive Roll assembly is Cast AL not the Wheels themselves."Durable cast aluminum drive system incorporates dual-groove quick-change drive roll and spring-loaded tension arm with calibrated tension knob, all designed to make set up easier and faster."Miller doesn't have a Photo of the System but Lincoln does on their brochure.http://content.lincolnelectric.com/p...ature/e724.pdfEd Conleyhttp://www.screamingbroccoli.com/MM252MM211 (Sold)Passport Plus & Spool gunLincoln SP135 Plus- (Gone to a good home)Klutch 120v Plasma cutterSO 2020 benderBeer in the fridge
Reply:OK, makes sense now with the explanation and a picture.  Looks like one nice Lincoln too after reading all their stuff.  Thanks, Chris
