OK...I have been arc welding with my old lincoln tombstone. Now i went out and bought off craigslist an "offbrand" broken mig that i want to fix (i only paid $50)It is an auto arc 120 and needs either a new tip to the gun or a new gun. It looks like the gun was dropped and it broke where the nozzle and tip thread onto the "gooseneck" tube. I might just need a new tube.It appears to be a miller product, a mwg-160 gun. But as i look online for parts i keep finding Biznel style, bernard style, thermadyne style, tweeko etc...are these stles of guns or are they aftermarket manufacturres that will fit my welderI know the easy way would be go to the local welding supply store but i want to look around online and see whats available . How do i get ahead of the learning curve?thanksscott

Might as well go to a good source and the added benefit is that you can actually make sure you get what you need by fitting it on the machine before leavingEd Conleyhttp://www.screamingbroccoli.com/MM252MM211 (Sold)Passport Plus & Spool gunLincoln SP135 Plus- (Gone to a good home)Klutch 120v Plasma cutterSO 2020 benderBeer in the fridge
Reply:Yes you can buy every part for the gun with out replacing it.. You can replace tip, cup, insulator, liner.. Now if the gun is broke then you will have to replace it..Last edited by Graydevil; 08-14-2009 at 01:31 PM.
