Reply:Trailer I put together last summer. Ugly guy in the background is me. Attached Images
Reply:Yeah Franz the birds were a brain storm that I got that turned into a lot of work. I started out making one or two and ended up making about 14 of them. My painter was a drawback getting her to finish them.
Reply:Those birds crack me up everytime I see em- what did you use for the eye-balls?Old garden tools and darn good imagination."after a long day of doing nothing...its gooood to kick back" Pumbaa
Reply:The eye balls were made using stove bolts and washers I found it better to have the stove bolt protruding a little above the washer for painting purposes.
Reply:Sunflower, another of those projects to make the other half happy and to justify buying welding equipment. Attached Images
Reply:Problem around here is I am the fabricator (dummy who locates all the parts)I am the weldorI am the painterShe who dreams of being obeyed is the Design ConsultantShe is also the painting coordinatorThen, I get to haul the stuff to where SHE wants in in her 1500 sq feet of posie patch, AND ahul it back come fall, AND store it, AND remember where the hell I put it for next spring.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:I have had that problem also with my other half. The last couple of projects I have done for her though I cemented into the ground so kind of put a stop to that problem. One of them being the sunflower and the other an umbrella stand using an old satellite dish for the umbrella.
Reply:Well Franz, That's what you get. Marriage is for the strong-backed & weak-minded.
Reply:Cutter, Nice quote...I'll have to remember it the next time the wife wants to tag along down to the scrapyard. She is always wanting the 1/2 ton "lawn ornaments" they have down there. She isn't happy unless it takes two men and a boy to drag it out of the pile. |
