Since I realize nobody has done the inevitable torch cart here on our new home, I figured I'd do the first one.13" pneumatic tires, full regulator protection roll bars, and lifting ring so it can be picked up by a crane. Also featured on this model are the hose holding system that actually keeps the hose on the cart, and the bracket that allows the torch to be locked in place with a bycicle lock. This cart also carrys Co2 and dry powder extinguishers, just in case. Reply:Franz,Looks like that would survive a Mars landing.  I think NASA should take some notes..
Reply:Mine is far simpler than Franz's.  Conduit and has caster wheels on the front.  Its hard to see but there is a channel underneath so I can stab it with a forklift on occasion. Attached Images
Reply:This cart is 60 years old. Attached Images
Reply:That might have been made in the day before HF wheels were on sale.
Reply:I LOVE those old cylinder carts !...someday I hope I have one.My cylinder cart is a hand-truck from Home Depot....(modified, of course)....but it works just fine !I'd really like to get one (or build one ?), that has those big, iron wheels........takes me back to the "good ol' days" I'll be the LAST one to let you down !
Reply:Problem with those big iron wheels is you can't use the excuse you have a flat tire on the torch cart.Marko, all you gotta do is build a tire roller and make your own wheels.  That oughta occupy you for a few days.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:True for you Franz !   I think I could build one of them ! I'll be the LAST one to let you down !
Reply:Well Marko, you never know till you try, and I guarandamntee about the time you get the wheels half built you'll find a set off an old dump type hay rake for 5 bucks.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:Ahhhh !  THANKS Ol' Pal !......I've got a Brother up in NorthernMichigan....lotta' farms up there....I'll tell him to keep an eye out !I'll be the LAST one to let you down !
Reply:I confess to actually buying a cart many years ago. However I did redeem myself buy later making it stronger and putting larger wheels on it. The next step will to put even larger wheels on it. Bigger is better.
Reply:Where is the brother Marco, I am in Northern Mi
Reply:Marko's down in the land of the hanging/pregnant/ deforemed Democratic chad, where people love to go on TV and explain how they are too STUPID to read instructions and punch a hole in a piece of cardboard, but their vote for President should count anyhow.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:Franz.....don't forget the 90+ year-old geezers that insist on trying to drive !  (you've got to have a damn good sense of humor to live in this god-forsaken state) !Sberry.....My Brother retired to a little town called Hillman....it's about 20 miles west of Alpena.I'll be the LAST one to let you down !
Reply:Marko, them geezers are here all summer, I've just taken to sayin "Bless his/her heart" and taking the first available turn.  It's a lot easier on my blood pressure, and the air horns never did blow em out of the way/We also have "Important People" who drive here, 4X4 tinted windows and a cellphone to their ear.  If they don't run of fthe road they get on yer a$$ and try to indicate either their mental age or IQ with finger gestures while blowing the horn.  Fortunately, the new RoadRage laws here get a cop headed your way when you call 911 and report the lunatic on your bumper trying to push you.  I knew there had to be a purpose to 911, besides calling for a report after I solved the problem.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:Hey Marko; Have you noticed that the Grand Marquis is the official AARP car of Florida, and of course they  have to wear the "Darth Vador" glasses so they can't see who's beeping at them when they  cut someone off making a right turn from the left lane. When I was working up there I got to calling 491 " altziemers Alley When you read in the paper about someone driving into a pool, or through the front of Winn-Dixe. It's typically 87 year old Effy Johnson from New York in a 1998 Grand Marquis
Reply:You know what I'm talking about Jim !   Beverly Hills, or, aswe call it "burial hills", is full of people that use the left signal, and turn right. Drive 35 mph. in a 55 mph zone, in the right-handlane with the left turn-signal flashing proudly for 10 miles !....AND YES ! . . they do have the "Free sunglasses" that they got from the eye-doctor, when they got their cataracts fixed. I'll be the LAST one to let you down !
Reply:my outfit next to cutting stand
Reply:I'd really like to see some more pictures of that cart.  I'm torch shopping and have been drawing up plans for a cart.  I'd love to pirate a few ideas.
Reply:Well, my hoses are neater than your hoses, and I can padlock my torch too. Attached ImagesAppreciation Gains You Recognition-
