I have been shopping around for metal of various kinds, it seems like all of them have some sort of crazy measuring system, and these systems vary by vendor, maybe?  I can't really tell.  I thought that .063 was 1/16th of an inch, now I am not so sure.  I am looking at getting some aluminum that is thick enough for practicing upon or maybe some steel (gotta make a welding table), but I can't figure out these measurements..080, .125 et cetera.  Any guidance would be appreciated.

Reply:To find a decimal measurement from a fractional measurement, divide the top number of the fraction by the bottom number.1/16 = 0.0633/64 = 0.0471/8  =  0.1253/16 = 0.1881/4  =  0.250MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
