Needed to whip up something quick-this is supposed to be a recipe book holder. Its just made from some rebar I had laying around. Maybe some paint will spruce it up Attached Images"after a long day of doing nothing...its gooood to kick back" Pumbaa
Reply:That is LOW, CHEAP, SNEAKY and Underhanded! Congratulations on striking a blow for mankind against Hallmark.Oil it with boiled linseed oil, and bake for a few hours at 350.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:Nice ! Much better than a $70 bunch of roses from the florist or $50 singing teddy bear from Hallmark. Neither of which will last very long.
Reply:Cool, so long as she doesn't whack you over the head with it.
Reply:You could hang a couple of rolls of mig wire on it.
Reply:Looks great but what I want to know is why is that rebar not all rusty and how did it get that way.Knoledge is Power

Reply:First off thanks for the comments fellas. Well, decided to gamble on Franz- used the Linseed oil, but since I have only used linseed oil to winterize my yard tools I decided to play it safe and 'bake' it in my my bbq just incase he was screwin with me. The finish came out pretty much like when you cure your cast iron pans with vegetable oil-PERFECT! Thanks Franz. Now I know alot of you have grown up in a non-frying pan environment so I wont really be able to explain the look exactly. Because, she is gonna dig this and I foresee myself working on increasing my cholesterol with some high quality fried foods Attached Images"after a long day of doing nothing...its gooood to kick back" Pumbaa
