Hey Big, spring pin

I have only one spring pin in the front end that wont take grease, forgot about it till now while I was going o0ver the punch list.  Does the sping shop use a puller to remove them somehow?  The rad is in the way so I cant pound to drive it out and I heated the shackel some,, just couldnt get in to position to drive it.  I took the zerk out and plumbed my porto power on it to try to force oil thru it but not happn. I filled it with pen oil and will let it sit overnight and give another try in the morn but I doubt it will work. I am probably going to have to remove the pin and drill the hole out,, dont really have time to fool with this and might wait or even run up  to the truck spring shop. It does have a blind hole in the end, would a bolt have enough power to pull a stuck pin?
Reply:I had one on a rear spring assembly,it took half a day to get grease through it. I put penetrating oil in a short air hose, and hook it up to the fitting. With about 100* of pressure it let loose 3 hours latter. Been taking gease ever since.Rich
Reply:One more thing, if you take the weight off the spring it would help the blockage pass by the pin / bushing.Rich

Reply:Ok, finally extracted the pin, had a little twist in the frame didnt help,, but got it out cleaned up and one lick from the hammer and its done. Should have not got frustrated and got minds better than my own sooner,, ha  But, I have a peeve about fittings that wont ake grease.www.urkafarms.com
Reply:Sberry, I just got home and online, I see you got it out, so good for you, Yup they can be hard, especially when items are in the way.Seeing how you have it out now, I will say it helps to swear alot at it.Have used air hammers with good luck as well.There's a method to the madness, disregard the method and the madness begins!!
