ok i just bought a century 170gs i quickly noticed there is a gas leak in the gas line inside the welder. i found the leak. what is the suggested way of fixing this. can't seem to find anything through searches. should i replace the whole line or patch it. it's right by the motor that feeds the wire. anyone have any experience with this? also where would be the easiest place to find this line, it's the clear 1/8th ish i.d. clear plastic line. thanks in advance, beginner to welding not sure if this is a stupid question or not, thanks
Reply:ok appreciate the quick reply, the vinyl tubing is as far as i can tell 3/32" ID and there is no solenoid on this welder i believe. the valve for the gas is in the gun the the tubing goes from the outside through the welder and into the line for the gun. it's got a crack right inside the welders case right before it enters the line for the gun. would just cutting the line there and putting a double sided barb that fits that line work?
