This is a 24 volt, 100 amp electronically regulated charger. It is rated continous duty with no fan. I plug in either the Lincoln or the Miller wire feeder.I had to do a couple on minor mods. It had a walk in circuit to limit the current when it first comes on. I disabled it. It has 300 amp diodes. I re-calibrated the amp meter to read half the actual current.http://img36.photobucket.com/albums/...t=DSC00278.jpg

Reply:Hi Mac, actually I changed the meter calibration so if it reads 50 amps, the actual current is 100 amps.
Reply:But why?Have you tweaked it so it'll put out more than 100 amps actual?
Reply:Right, I tested it at 150 amps. I just needed to get the meter to read more then it's 100 amp full scale reading. The charger had a current limiting circuit circuit that I disabled.
Reply:that battery charger is a lot bigger than I had imagined !
Reply:It is a little heavy. I made a dolly setup so I can move it around in the back yard. I once had the Miller wire feeder winched up 12' in the air. |
