Just installed a new regulator furnished with a MM211, on a new (purchased) 80 cf cylinder of mixed gas for MIG. Cylinder pressure reads just under 1500 psi. Thought pressure would be much higher; so what is the full pressure for a mixed ArCO2 cylinder?
Reply:Seems like mine always run around 2,000 plus. Temperature plays a role.
Reply:Chris,On a full bottle, pressure should read between 2000-2250 PSI (depending on temp as mentioned)If you only got 1500PSI, you didn't get a full fill. I'd take that bottle back to the store and explain the situation. I suspect they'll just give you a new (filled) bottle. You paid for a full bottle and only got about 75%.Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc.
Reply:So I checked with the LWS. He agreed pressure was low and will give me a free fill on the next one. Same LWS that sold me the MM211....good to shop at home instead of web (was actually cheaper than web). Thanks. And glad tank/regulator was not leaking. |
