I recently bought a used Thermal arc Hefty II which came with a couple of new spraymaster guns. I am not sure but believe them to be 450 amp. Problem is LWS says they cannot come up with consumables. Contact tips say tweco SPEC and nozzle is marked HD24L-62 and no other ID other than spraymaster on the handle. The contact tips have 5/16-18 threads. Anyone have the know how on this to get me going the right direction? Thanks
Reply:Have you physically brought the guns to the LWS? Generally, they are slightly retarded about these types of things. http://pdf.directindustry.com/pdf/th...-53227-_3.htmlThere ya go. If they can't figure out how to get you consumables when you bring them part numbers you need a new LWS.Last edited by i4sillypwr; 10-14-2009 at 07:17 PM.
Reply:Yeah, I took them to both stores in town. They either didn't have a clue or were pissed because I didn't buy it new from them.
Reply:Find out what local shop is an authorized service center for Thermal Arc and take the torches there. They should be able to get you whatever parts you need. Once you know what you need, make a note of the part numbers and then you can order them from any TA distributor or local shop that sells TA.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:They are tweco spraymaster guns not TA. The part numbers for consumabls should be in the link I posted.
Reply:One of the LWS is having an open house Thursday with some factory reps. If I don't get derailed I will take it with me. I looked at the link, problem is the only part on this thing with a number is the nozzle. There are several diffusers and contact tips listed that use that nozzle. None seem to match. Maybe I have to get a different gooseneck and go from there. |
