Good Morning:Thought I would share my solution for my parts bender stand. I had it bolted to the middle of my garage floor, but my wife had a fit. This solution was made with scrap steel I had laying around. AC arc welded with 6013. I just drive my car over the stand to hold it down. Seems to work real well.In my practice, I am really trying to watch the puddle more and more. It has really improved my welding. At least I think it has? Attached Images

Reply:Looks like you have the basic idea down. The more rod you burn, the better it will look over time. You might try counting and moving to the numbers to help your consistancy.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom. |
