Reply:Robert D:  Don't you feel ashamed for having so many "toys" while the rest of us have to scrimp and save and beg our wifes to just barely have the meager "toys" we have.We see someone like you, and can only dream about what might have been possable! And to top it all off... you have the SPACE to ADD as many "toys" as you will ever be able to acquire!OH THE SHAME!!!Sorry... I get carried away sometimes!Great Tooyss eeeeerrrrr, "Tools."

Looks like a "magic Garage" on steriods Looks you need to belong to one of my twelve step programs."toolaholic's" anonymous  It hasn't worked for me, but maybe there's hope for you.the high point of my week is Saturday afternoon going to the spanish restaurant with my friend Roy (AKA 1911 man). Then going to Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply, or some other "tool emporium" to see what we can't live without.I'll guess I'll have to post some more pictures of the contents of the Magic Garage.:Last edited by fla jim; 01-22-2004 at 04:50 PM.

Reply:I can attest to fl Jim's addiction- he's a sad case. And my failure in his much touted "12 step program" has cost me more money than I want to think about. But we have fun!"All that is required for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing"

Reply:Robert,Quite a place!! Some fancy stone work! Do you have an arial of your hacienda?"Some days you're the dog, some days you're the fire hydrant"
Reply:No but the TAX MAN does  LOLRobert D
Reply:Since the dang yuppies started movin in around here you gotta keep stone hidden or it runs the assessment up 100 grand.  I have a buddy in the assessors office who will let me look at the aireal photos, and what the damn town knows is too much.  Fortunately, they don't know what's under the pines, and they ain't allowed to tax anything that isn't ancored to the ground. They now subscribe to some damn satellite service that gives them color pictures you can see a beachball in.The good part is they don't have accurate comparison photos that go back more than 2 years.NY now reassesses every 6 years, and the town loves to pour over the new satellite photos lookin for raw wood, so they can nail people for construction without a building permit.  This town even requires a permit to change your friggin water heater.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:Franz...I have been here 20 years now...started off with raw land...and from day 1 the BLOOD SUCKERS have been snooping around like DOGS. I will not let them on my land...so now ...I see a plane once a year fly over...Most of the time I just drop my trousers and moon them....lol...Its a damn shame life is short..and they want to make it shorter...Azz Holes all of them.Robert D
Reply:Robert, is agricultural exemption available to you?  i know Texas has it, and from some people I know down there, ag exemption kills the tax man in Texas.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-

Reply:If you want a free arial photo go tohttp://www.terraserver.comput your address in, picture size, res, and hit purchase and view it.  In the view it will say terra server in a white pattern(save page for freebee).  If you actually order it and pay for it, it won't say terra server on it.
Reply:put address in search
Reply:nice collection of stuff yout got Robert ! how much land you have and how big is your shop ?I tried that terra server but the free copy is zoom'd so far out that my measly 2 acres of earth is about the size of a pin head.edit:  I really like that stone work too, did you do that yourself ?That's a good looking part of Texas there. I used to live up just north of Austin in Round Rock and have relatives that we'd visit quite often down in Wimberly. - jackLast edited by morpheus; 02-25-2004 at 01:05 PM.
