My son got me this to replace my busted one and I wonder about this phrase "use special orfice",just wondering if that's just the hose hookup it's referring to?Drink a Guinness Draught....Millermatic 140Do you still rememberDecember's foggy freeze --when the ice thatclings on to your beard isscreaming agony.
Reply:Not to worry GW. It's taken care of in the regulator unit.Gases of different densities will flow at different rates at a given pressure thru a given orifice. So, because the gauge is calibrated for argon based on a specific orifice size (within the regulator assembly) the manufacturer just states such on the gauge face.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:I'm really tempted to say that 'special orifice' came into play when he paid for it, but I wont...
Reply:For a flowgauge to accurate the gauge most be calibrated to a specific orifice size. You may see .032 Orifice or .026 Orifice on some gauges. Special Orifice A is a specific orifce size that the gauge is calabrated to.OAdoctorwww.regulatortorchrepair.com
Reply:And notice GW how the gauge is calibrated for two slightly different gases (C02 and Argon) that would use the same orifice.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base! |
