Hi, Does anyone have any pictures or drawings of any type of Iron Cemetery Flower Box Holder? I have had a couple requests of late, requesting something custom, and I thought this might be just the place to start my search for ideas.Just my opinion, not from a book, just from the road.Howes Welding Inc.www.howesweldinginc.com
Reply:Easy would be to find some aluminum cast vases and then add some filagree. Hard would be attaching them where they'd be difficult to remove. In a cemetary in Vivian LA theres a very special tombstone. Not just because it's beautiful, nor because it's unique. But because it was made by a son for his father. The father was a metal worker and the son made the marker out of steel and had it powder coated. The engraved letters were plasma cut along with the filagree. If you're going to want truly unique ones consider starting off with the spacers between plow discs. They have a nice coke bottle shape in some of them and you can add you decorative touches. Plus they can be found for scrap pricing under the right circumstances. If you've got a forge and want some real fun find some thin wall pipe and hammer your vase out.life is good |
