What do yall think about this? It's an horizonal water tank. Attached ImagesLast edited by scholl24; 03-10-2005 at 11:21 PM.Reason: pictures
Reply:Not a chance in HELL! It's rated at 75PSI when new. Don't even think about using that thing. You'll endanger yourself and anyone else within 100 feet should that thing decide to let go.
Reply:Notice the warning label itself says only for cold water storage below 75 psi...Really bad idea...
Reply:Thanks for the bad news. What would it be good for besides a water tank. Some ideas please!
Reply:Cut it open and make a looong b-b-q pit?
Reply:If you raise animals the two halves after you split it makes excellent watering and feed troughs.A few of my toys !LinuxMintManjaroMiller Roughneck 2E Lincoln WeldPak 100HTP MTS 160 Chicago Electric 80amp Inverter Victor O/A
Reply:garbage can....scrap metal storage....don't do the bbq pit thing, says it's lined with fiberglass i assume is what it means by glass lined.
Reply:No they are not fiberglass lined. They are lined with glass. Same process used to enamel tubs and sinks, and to glaze ceramics. Metal is heated orange hot, then powdered glass is rolled around inside, excess is poured out, metal is heated again in a furnace which lets the glass melt and flow into a continuous coating.
Reply:Do U get any snow there? If so u can cut it in half and make a snow plough for a quad.
Reply:I agree with the others about NOT using it as an air compressor tank.Cut it in half (top to bottom), add a chassis w/steering, and a seat..........and you'll have two matching, bullet-proof soapbox derby racers.
Reply:Use it for scrap metal, cut it to make a plow
Reply:Use a shell for a waste oil furnace. Here's a link to one design: http://journeytoforever.org/biofuel_...earth/me4.html
Reply:You could weld a pipe thru the center to accept an axle. Weld and close all exterior holes in tank, then build a pulling frame. Fill with water or concrete and now you have a lawn roller!!!
Reply:There are certain things that one does not skimp on and pressure vessels are one of them.Use the wrong vessel and you and others will die...the laws of physics apply to all of us.If you want a tank, put the word out that you are looking for an oilless air compressor with a bad compressor. They die quickly and the tank is still like new. Make SURE it is rated for the pressures that you will be using.TMT |
