Ok. I assembled some photos of about 11 little projects. Perhaps some of them will spark some ideas for others. http://pozadzides.com/john/art/ The wall art has mounting studs welded to the back to hold them about 1" from the walls. Almost everything here was cut by hand with a plasma torch, and the pieces were welded using various processes... TIG, Oxy, MIG and stick.
