One of our new members asked me about a project I was involved in 2004.I'm a member in good standing most days of Tractorbynet.com. One of the other members from outside of Austin asked in their discussion for some ideas on an ATV bridge.I tried to post the pictures I captured from that web site but they're too big for here. You can read the dialog and look at the accompanying pictures here.Tractorbynet uses a different program for their forums. So what you have to do is click on the "attachment" above the post. It'll bring up the photo.Basically what happened was he asked how to do this bridge. I offered some ideas. He then asked me how much I'd charge to do the job. I was too busy but I would help him and some other members do it if they wanted to come to my shop one weekend. It was a ton of fun. We started off with lengths and sheets of material and when we were done we had a bridge unlike any other. That was September. In December we had another group meeting at the bridge site and finished it off.You can follow the process step by step either on my web site. Or going to the TBN link above. It's probably the most difficult to navigate but is best because you get to see all the internet interactions of the participants. On TBN if you register as a member there's another forum not available to non-members. It's called "meetings and get-togethers". In that thread is a more complete step by step chronology of the event under Norte Tejas something or another. It was very gratifying for me to guide these guys from raw steel to a complete project that was spectacular. I would like to claim all the credit but I can't. They made it happen. I was just there with some ideas, tools, and the gift of gab.life is good

Reply:Keep in mind most of these guys weren't weldors by any stretch of the imagination. But they worked like starved step-kids to have the above from this. Attached Imageslife is good
Reply:I'm having problems getting the pictures down to the size where the site will take them. But if you get the time and have high speed service do register at TBN and go down to meetings and get togethers. The finished project is well worth your time.We did roll the buggy wheels at the shop for those wondering how that happened. Attached Imageslife is good |
