Hey folks!   Had a field call after lunch today. Seems that an outfit out of San Fran. that is erecting a building here in town made a little goof. They had welded the wrong plates on a  beam, needing a saddle instead of a knife-plate in two locations. The new plates are 3/8 x 10" x 32". Specs called for a 5/16 fillet continous on one side, stiched on the other. Overhead. 12' up. I remembered to kinda time two of the passes and they ran roughly 4 min. ea. Yes, my arm got tired.  But it was a good tired. Attached Images

Reply:Hey Tex. Glad I could put a smile on that mug o'yourn!  Hope your gettin' better bud. I was recently out of work for three months due to an injury(gr. 3 sep. shoulder/surgery) so I kinda know where your at. Stay loose bud.

Reply:Sandy-I kinda cheated. I was on a scissor lift and had the perfect height to be able to rest my elbow some what on my hip or belly as I went along. Also I was dragging my right hand along the plate and using it for support(left handed Weldors rule!) Yer right, stich first after good tacks and kicker brace.

Reply:oh bummer.....sorry to hear that chuck....I know you lke to weld   I kinda enjoy doing the fit up though.  I just hate it when some sloppy @ss trigger puller comes alongs and makes a sloppy weld after I made evertying puurfectIF it Catches...Let it Burn
