Reply:I dunno. Saw one on ebay, nobody I know has one so not sure if it is killing the arc until you pull the trigger, or if it is for jogging. Not sure I see the point of it, exactly, without knowing what it is intended for. Kinda curious, though.
Reply:I have them on all of mine. they came factory installed. Works great for feeding out the wire when your loading a new roll. Its purpose is to feed the wire with out energizing the contactor. Keeps the wire and stinger from shorting out as you feed them.Last edited by Dualie; 12-22-2009 at 12:51 AM.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
Reply:So it's a wire jog switch. My Suitcase has that too and my 350P goes into wire jog mode automatically after a few seconds of pulling the trigger with no arc.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:Exactly. I usually throw the switch to high on the front of the LN and dial the WFS to ludicrous speed to feed the wire up in a hurry.Vantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
Reply:Now I get it. I dunno if mine has one or if it is too old. It might have it and I didnt know it, and if might not, and I dont know what I am missing! Thanks,cc
Reply:It should be right near the CC/CV switch inside the case right above the drive rolls if you do. ITs just a momentary contact pushbuttonVantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches. |
