I picked up this table today to use for my bench grinder. For the price, it is a lot stronger then I thought it would be. I'm going to go back tomorrow and grab another one, to make a welding table. I don't think it would be strong enough to do heavy duty work with, but since everything I've done so far has been relatively light weight (and while sitting on the garage floor), I think it will work fine. Please let me know if there is any reason that this is not a good idea.
Reply:330 lbs isn't much weight handling capacity, have to be really lightweight projects.
Reply:and another thing...its wood...wood and hot metal sparks dont mix saftey first...welding/grinding and wood = bye bye bench...and who knows what else....saftey first.... i'm just telling you what i see......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Sorry, I was planning on replacing the wood with metal plate.
