The first is a cattle feeder. I make a few of these, especially now we are in our fifth year of drought. Then  John Shearer trash cultivator I modified into a direct drill machine. It was a pretty major re-build.Simonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.htmlLast edited by welder.man; 07-07-2006 at 05:02 PM.
Reply:One more of the Shearer Next is a few photo's of some dairy work I have done.Simonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.htmlLast edited by welder.man; 07-07-2006 at 05:13 PM.
Reply:These are a few spray units I have built, These I custom built for spraying strawberries and other small crops.Simonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.html
Reply:Nice work!I especially like the cow feeder and the spray tank mounts for the tractor. Is that stainless or aluminum? and whats the capacity of the tanks?I could use gear like that in my area.Awesome stuff.Bill
Reply:That's some nice engineering.  I bet that spray was a jun job, that would be one of those jobs I'd look foward to going to work for.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:The front tanks were 400ltr each and the rear tank was 900ltr, They would pump into the rear tank once it started to empty, The frame was from 50 x 50 x 4 SHS and galvanized They were great to build, I did everything from design the unit, to finished item. I made about eight of them over a year and a half. each one took about one month. The operator could tell the computer to deliver any amount of chemical per acre and the computer would no matter what speed the machine traveled at.The cattle feeders are another of my designs we have knocked a few of them out, they are all cut using a set of Makita shears and folded in a home made sheet folder, They take two days to build. Being on skids they can be dragged around the farm.Simonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.htmlLast edited by welder.man; 07-07-2006 at 11:16 PM.
Reply:some nice looking jobs there Simon the direct drill machine looks good I made a few of them for the soil con at GunnedahThe spray rig is very good some very nice work there the feeders would be a very handy item lately Creative metal Creative metal Facebook
Reply:Excellent work on everything. You must be in some pretty good agricultural territory there. I think ag country would give a guy a broader scope of opportunities.
Reply:i'm impressed...and thats not an easy thing to do... ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:We do live in a large agricultural area, the village I live in is is right on the banks of the Lachlan river, So there is a lot of irrigated farming around us. Thanks Zap. DittoSimonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.html
Reply:Here are a few more of my past projects.I built this trailer for a bee farmer to move his hives. It was the same dimensions as the tray on his Mitsubishi Triton UteI made a lot of these access grids. They were engineered to take 50t loads for highway use for government roads. This roller was for an 25t excavator to compact the banks on the side of highway construction before spray grass seed was appliedSimonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.html
Reply:Aw this is what I refer to as a "Pro At Work". Simon I am truly impressed. Not just by your talent but the versatility of your work. I guess if I could add one other word to that it would be courage. A guy who can tackle those types of jobs is capable of handling anything that comes up. The wealth of knowledge to do that stuff is mind boggling. Thanks for posting the pictures, very impressive. Reply:Did you make ALL of that sheeps foot? it looks like you made the heavy duty attachment for a pre existing roller ? that attachment sure looks "beefy" , but, then  it has to be . Nice .[SIZE="5"Yardbird"

Reply:Those "access grids", would they be called "cattle guards" here?? That is you put them across the roadway to block livestock from crossing. In any event good work on it all.
Reply:Yes Sandy they are. they are also called stock or cattle grids here as well.Simonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.html
Reply:This was a job I enjoyed, I had to fabricate a heap of parts for this Allis Chalmers D270, It had been sitting under a tree for quite a few years, and was in poor condition it was badly rusted. It would not start  I had to make most of the steering components, part of the three point linkage and the cowling behind the steering wheel, the muffler and other parts. Reply:very nice job on the tractor Simon  Creative metal Creative metal Facebook
Reply:This Case tractor was traded in and was in very poor condition, it was full of rust and I had to fabricate a few parts for it. I also made the front end loader and ROPS frame for it and had it certified.I did not take any photo's before I started, It was a full bare metal respray.Simonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.htmlLast edited by welder.man; 07-21-2006 at 04:52 PM.
Reply:This little Kubota tractor was one of my more challenging after work projects, it was bought in this condition by a mate of mine, and I completely rebuilt it to what you see now.I made the bonnet, guards, ROPS frame, and a few other parts, we bought blank wheels and centers and machined them to suit, and than I poured on a few coats of Kubota orange, Bunged on and new seat and a few decals and it looked like a new one. I also made side discharge slasher for it.As bought After all was said and doneSimonhttp://members.optusnet.com.au/~abba/index.html
