Hi everyone. Here's something a little different to view. As some of you will know I restore gas pumps, Coca Cola items along with just about anything else that looks worth restoring. Well I have two sons and both of them are in the Canadian Armed Forces. One is in the Army and the other is in the Navy and is on the HMCS Halifax. I wanted to do a few projects for them that they could keep as they advanced in there trades so I found a 1950's pedal jeep that I restored for my Army son and a rare 1966 Pedal boat with custom trailer for my Navy son. Each vehicle features my son's picture, rank, custom Canadian license plate with there date of birth on it and all related logo's.As there careers advances I will add each advancement to each vehicle including promotions and the like. It took over 100 hours to do each item and the boat trailer I fabricated out of channel. the rollers were machined on my lathe and my boys just love each project. I hope you folks do to and lets all keep our troops in our prayers each day. Thanks for looking. Reply:Thanks everyone for your kind words on my boys projects. These little pedal vehicles are tough to due because of the thin sheet metal involved. Thank gawd for TIG welding. When I did the Jeep the Jerry can was very rusty and to keep the proper lines in the can I cut the can in half and did the lead work from inside and then put it back together. A guy put it up on his jeep site so if you want you can check it out there. You'll see me and my two boys looking at the jeep just as it was completed. thanks again for the kind words. It's much appreciated.
