Reply:Design and work look great! BUTTTTT, Around here, it would not meet code as ALL spaces, need to be less than 4" ( a 4" ball can not pass through any opening). On the bottom, the space is particularly large and the concern would be a child could slip beneath and fall/get hurt. Reply:i agree it is quite the nice looking railing but as tessdad said no spacing larger than 4" and also nothing that can be used to step up on such as horizontal bars.. good idea and nice fabrication though
