I just cobbled a welder cart from an old BBQ on wheels, can't beat the price as it was in the trash, I used stick for a couple of reinforcements, my question is do I have to remove the weld slag for some reason, I'd rather just leave it unless its a corrosion magnet or something.?
Reply:Well I would take the slag off then throw some paint over the weld as well as the rest of the cart. Moisture in the air or rain can collect in the slag and make it rust.PS nice score on the free cart and use of recycling.Co-Own CNC shop:Miller :1251 plasma cutter, MaxStar 700 TIG/Stick, & XMT 456 Multiprocess Welder.& 2 Hypertherm HPR260's Plasma CutterSorry I had a bad stroke but now I am back. |
