my shop and other misc. stuff

well i have not been a big poster on the sight. i mostly browse, but its about time for me to show you guys my stuff and work i have done.  Some back ground about me.  im 22 yrs old and currently run a shop that builds dumpsters, compactors and other misc. stuff.  I am basically a full time baby-sitter for 4 welders and two machine operators. I went to school for two years and currently need one math class for my degree, but i have not gone back i never took a welding class, kind of learned by myself When im not running the shop i am running a small landscape company i own, and when im not doing that i am CNC Plasma cutting.  I also own a plasma cutting business with a partner called 3PD.  I'll post pics tommorow when i am at work, of my shop, the shop i run, and the stuff i have built.  I want to buy a tig welder so bad, i can almost taste the filler rod.

Reply:looks like some fun stuff.i think i would stand up that aceteline tank if it was mine but i gess its working for ya.what kind of TIG you looking to get into??? the TA-185 are hard to beat for the $$ i just picked up one and its sooooooooo much fun. i have also been fallowing them on the net for about 3+ years with lots good said for then and only 2 not so good, both were worked out with the TA people to the owners agreement.maybee not as fast as it would have been if it was a miller but it got taken care of and both are welding now so it's still a good record and at under $2000.00 hard to beat. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.

Reply:yeah i know i should have stood it up more on its end.  before i stopped my guys they would lay bottles flat in the bed and use them like that.

Reply:If I remember correctly, I was taught that for every hour on its side, it should sit upright for a day before you can use it.Maybe I am wrong on this?

Reply:the acitone holds the acetiline in the bottome in a poress or spunge type substance, if its left on its side you can spit out the acitone insted of the acitone gas, this is not only an explosion risk but will distroy all the seals in the regulators. general roule is to let it stand for 1 to 3 Hrs after being layed down, i would go for the 3 if i were you.i'm shore some one that deals with the gas can give a better explanation but thats the basics. it bad to do. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.
